Rep. Steve Scalise, the third-ranking Republican in the House of Representatives is facing a political firestorm over the revelation that he spoke before a white supremacist organization as a Louisiana state legislator in 2002. TWELVE years ago, Scalise spoke to constituents. Vile constituents, but constituents nevertheless. And now Scalise is in the hot seat, fighting for his political life. So what Obama speaks to vile constituents all the time. Then he speaks to racists groups like the NAACP and the Congressional Black Caucus routinely as well. So what Obama has racist Al Sharpton as his new de facto Vice President. Apparently being racists only matter when it involves the potential to publicly torch a Republican. Robert Byrd was canonized in his death, and he served alongside Obama for a few years. Byrd is the celebrated Leftist hero who filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act long after he supposedly felt bad for being in the KKK. Bill Clinton said in his eulogy of Byrd that Byrd did what a smart Southern Democrat had to do to get elected, and that is to join the Klan. What does this say of Clinton?! What did he have to do in order to get the support of Southern Democrats? Byrd was a member of the Klan, had many meetings with LOTS of Democrats and he DIED IN OFFICE! Yet for taking a meeting with a group of racists, the Republican has to go? I know very little about Scalise, but a test of his character will be is he willing to fight the double-standard of racist Democrats. Read more at theblacksphere.net/2015/01/lets-compare-racists/
