Report from the State University of Performing & Visual Arts in Haryana: Striking students lock the VC office, Administrative block, and the University main gate. The students of the Film Institute of the State University of Performing and Visual Arts, Rohtak, Haryana, have been on strike since the last monday, 3rd November. They are demanding autonomy for their institution, removal of the post of VC and the whole new administrative structure. Some of the other demands in their 15+ demands letter are, formation of Academic and Governing Councils with students and teachers as members. This monday, the 10th, students locked and stopped the whole university. The VC asked permission to visit his office for some documents, calls police from inside, escapes through the window.
