Mr. Patnaik: People vote for me coz of my work and not coz of my promotion. Reporter : A certain state is going hammer and tongs on its Development Model and wants the whole of India to adopt the same model Mr. Patnaik : So, when you have a model which is working wonders why is that you have to promote it. Reporter : Sir, you please understand, we need to dislodge the current government and bring back India to its Glory days. The Task in bigger than you are thinking. Mr. Patnaik : We will first spend hugely to promote the model and that will help dislodge the government. But when you are focusing on promoting the model, what about the people whom you claim have benefitted by the model. Reporter : The people. They are fine with the fact the model does help the select few more than the more in few areas. They feel for the leader and place importance on his personal ambition. Mr. Patnaik : Since when has a Development model got to do with an Individual and his personal ambitions. Its got to do with benefit of his people. Reporter : If the Leader does well, all his people will be happy. Eventually, its about their happiness. so you see the model works. Mr. Patnaik : For me, the people should be happy and hence the leader should be happy.
