Reports from the Chitungwiza Municipality indicate that there was a group of people working with identified council officials and councillors who did plans, allocated stands on wetlands, supervised illegal construction of houses in Chitungwizas residential areas, and pocketed at least US$4 000, creating the current confusion and panic among those who promoted corruption and destroyed Chitungwiza Municipality. It is important that law and order be restored in all local authorities and end all illegal housing developments.
