Repost: Prestigious Atlanta GA enterprise firm is seeking an Information Technology Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth IT operations and planning for future operational needs and implementation for the IT Department. Firm offers excellent bonus, vacation, benefits, The role is 50% Management and 50% hands on. The manager will have 6 direct reports (Network Engineers). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: defines business and systems requirements for new technology implementations; interacts with management team, engineers and end users, and manages IT resources to complete projects; benchmarks, analyzes, reports and makes recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems; manages the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software and peripherals; anticipates the PC/LAN hardware and software needs for planning and budgeting via monitoring the community’s appropriate usage and the coordination of rotation planning; perform liaison duties between users, operations and engineering personnel in the areas of design, modifications of trouble-shooting; reviews and coordinates software license and copyright agreements, updates revisions and service/maintenance contracts and arrangements. Requirements To be considered a candidate, applicants must have the following: • Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field from an accredited college or university. • Equivalent combination of an Associate’s degree, information systems security certifications and experience in the computer science field will be accepted. • Preferred certifications include: Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) and Project Management Professional (PMP). • Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills: network architecture and standards (Cisco routing Firewalls, VMWare, etc.) and server architecture (Windows Servers, Redhat Linux, Oracle/Microsoft SQL/MySQL databases, SharePoint, NetApp and SAN technologies). • Seven to Ten years of experience working a Technology Department with leadership in a multi-office environment. • Minimum of four years managing a technical operations group with a scope of responsibility that includes coordinating and supporting IT business processes. • Minimum of four years of supervisory experience with the ability to mentor and manage individuals to grow in their profession. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and troubleshooting skills. He/she will also be dedicated and dependable with the ability to exhibit tact and professionalism when dealing with all levels of Firm personnel. Strong understanding and exceptional ability to manage multiple large projects. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to evaluate and develop approach to solutions in a timely manner. The ability to lead by example and work with staff and Firm management in a service-oriented, team environment. This position requires extensive travel and has visibility in all offices.
