Repost coz its amusing You get what you focus on. Our brains recieve billions of bits but only 7 to 9 bits are left and all is discarded. For example right now Im sure that youre aware of the color od the screen, your feet touching the ground, your hand touching mobile phone or mouse and keyboard, the sound of your sorrounding but all of these arediscarded unless if youre focusing on them or they are relevant to you. Plus our brain doesnt interpret things as they are but it gives meanings based on the ideas and thoughts it holds. For example if you are in a graduation party and you are wearing torn shirt and shorts and two people are looking at you whispering to each other and the other one is laughing, what would be your interpretation? Of couse that they are talking about you but what if tgey were just talking to a subject that doesnt relates about you. Youll never assume it coz youree not aware that youre mind interprets thing like that. So If in your mind you believe that youree not attractive then youll start to focus on clues that support your beliefs and the result you will end up finding hundreds of false proofs because our mind doesnjt interpret things as they are. Every rejections you got, everything bad happens will be your reason that youre not attractive. And the more dangerous is we discard opposing things like the compliments from youre friends that youre attractive, what discard I mean is you will not remember coz its discarded from your mind anymore. So the result youll find hundredsss of proofs that your beliefs are true and that you have no opposing proofs like compliments from your friends but in reality it is just discarded fron your mind. This is what happens when you bought a phone or a car and you feel like the whole town is using the same phone and car you have. Thatjs how focus works and how our beliefs stengthens and form another beliefs.
