#Repost from @63mph A pure Oregon morn #theroad #oregon #thewest - - - - - - - - - - - - This photograph that was posted of Donnie (the 87 vanagon) by Matt 1 year and 5 months ago was the tipping point for me and has forever changed my life. That sounds ridiculous right? Well heres the story. - I was in the market to buy a vehicle for road trips and camping etc with the romantic idea of one day living in it to travel the country for a year or so. I already had my mind made up that it would be a Sprinter van that Id buy and build out myself for life on the road. It was this exact photo post by Matt that made me completely change direction. This photo stuck with me and I abandoned the idea of buying a Sprinter and set my sights on a Vanagon. I had to have one! - I contacted Matt and asked him questions about Donnie and he was nice enough to give me the full run down of Donnies modifications including suspension setup, wheel specs, tire size/make and other info. This was my first experience with the sharing and the always willing to lend a hand mentality that the vanagon community has to offer. Matt didnt know me, didnt have a clue but like many others Ive since discovered in the vanagon community it didnt matter.. He took the time to help me. For that I am forever grateful. - This simple gesture of sharing is why I share all of my setup information about Libby (my own 1987 Vanagon) for those out there that want to learn and get ideas. Its my way of paying it forward... Matt helped me... And now I gladly help others. - This single photo changed the course of my life and has since created a new firey passion within me that I dont see going away anytime soon. Thanks Matt (& Donnie) ...
