Reposting--- Notice to Subscribers of The Banner E-edition: Recently, we informed subscribers to our E-edition that we are no longer sending out the weekly email notification that the new issue is available. This summer we have experienced several episodes of email delivery problems and that weekly email added to the frustration. Despite our weekly reminder and repeated explanation over the past seven years, many folks still thought that the electronic version of The Banner was “in the email” rather than online. That weekly email was simply a courtesy notification. The E-version of The Banner is, and has always been, available on our website, not in the email or attached to it. The most recent issue and all issues going back to January 2007 are available for paid subscribers at our website. We are looking into a more efficient and reliable way of contacting our E-subscribers via email as well as working on updating our website to function better in the always-changing internet world. Until that is ironed out, subscribers must now go to the Banner website (thebanneronline) each week. The new issue is typically posted there between 10 p.m. Tuesday night and 3 a.m. Wednesday morning. For most people, they can just go to The Banner’s website on Wednesday morning and find the new issue. So, paid subscribers will now have to do the following each week to see the new paper: 1) Go to our website at thebanneronline ... 2) In the menu bar at the top of the page, click on ONLINE EDITIONS. 3) On the Online Editions page, choose the issue you want to view. (Scroll down for the most recent issue.) 4) The log-in box should pop up after you click on the issue you want. Also, if you have sent an email to us in recent weeks and did not receive a response, please check your spam or junk folder within your email program for an email from us. If emails from us are being redirected to your junk folder, you will need to change the settings to add the email address to your safe sender list. While these email problems have persisted this summer, we have not canceled any of the online subscriptions. If you had access to the E-edition prior to the summer, you should still be able to log in. Sorry for the confusion. We appreciate your continued support of The Banner and your patience as we work to improve our online presence.
