Reposting because a lot of people still do not know that Severe NJ Weather has become Weather NJ. Working on an update for the interesting week of weather coming up but for now... ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR LAUNCH: weathernj If theres ever a time that I ask you for a favor it is now. This is the official website launch of Weather NJ so I ask that you please share this post. A lot of people are in the dark right now, especially after the complete re-branding and name change. Severe NJ Weather has evolved into something larger...something amazing for the people of New Jersey and surrounding areas. Im not going anywhere and I will continue to interact with all of you through social media as I did before. Now that I have a modern web presence, I can provide more in-depth analysis that I simply couldnt before with a social presence only. Weather analysis will be posted to the web site and linked to from Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. Non weather-related content (personality, whatever) will be posted to social sites as they were before. What to take with you when checking out the site 1) Traffic - For desktop/computer users, the traffic cams are all live. For Desktop and mobile device users, the WEATHER AND TRAFFIC widget is fully interactive and displays live visual traffic information. Between the two, you now have a unique and simple traffic solution to use when traveling to and from the shore. Well be expanding the cams in the future but for now we cover the Garden State Parkway. 2) User Uploaded Photos - Fully operational on computer/desktop and mobile devices. We encourage you to send in weather pics any time. It establishes a visual feel of whats going on in our state. Cant wait for this functionality come winter time. Imagine the snow pics? 3) Local Weather Forecast - On the left is another 100% interactive weather map of the east coast. All forecast data is pulled by location for you from the National Digital Forecast Database (NDFD). Check out the different forecast tab options (36-huor outlook, hourly, 7-day, and weekend outlook). 4) Interactive Doppler Radar - This is my favorite! Make it full screen, enable layers, turn on boat and buoy info, click on buoys and ships for marine weather info, enable lightning, click on NWS alerts and advisories, you name it...it has it all! 5) Feel free to browse other links of the site too. Coming soon: boat and beach + long range forecast (7 days+). Again, it would be a huge personal favor to me of you please share this post to help get the word out on my upgrade and re-branding.
