Republic Day Event Held in London, ON On May 10, in London, Ontario, an event was held to mark the May 28th - Republic Day of Azerbaijan. This event was organized by the Azerbaijani-Turkish Association with support from the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ottawa. Minister of State for Science and Technology Ed Holder and Irene Mathyssen MP for London-Fanshawe were in attendance. At the event, congratulatory messages, speeches and a letter from the Mayor of London Joe Fontana were delivered. The event featured a concert of Azerbaijani music and dance.
