Republicans Rally At Whistle Stop Headquarters In Merced GOP supporters, top candidates, and residents opened the Republican Party district office in Merced on Saturday with a get-together lunch at the Big Red Caboose Train Car office located at 1737 Miles Ct. in the office park near Ashby Road and 16th Street in Merced. The Republican candidates, including Jack Mobley for State Assembly; Johnny Tacherra for U.S. Congress, talked to voters about important issues including water, business promotion, jobs, responsible leadership and common sense legislation. Also present were candidates Daron McDaniel for Merced County Supervisor; Pat Lunney for Merced County Sheriff; Bryon Raymond for Atwater City Council; and Greg Opinski for Merced Union High School District Area 1.
