Republicans and Democrats alike voted for Ritz to change the course of education. She cannot possibly do it alone. Although the disrespect shown by the governor and those who would do his bidding is galling and anti-democratic, do not forget that the state legislatures super-majority has allowed this to continue with their blessing. If you want to help Glenda Ritz in the next two years, work to change the legislature. Pro-public education candidates are campaigning right now and they need your help. Send another message in the fall. Otherwise, expect the attacks to continue and expect to see them build a case against her for 2016 so that another Tony Bennett can get back in and finish his job.
