Republicans in the Texas state lege had their snitch elected to Austin city council district 8. Well-done SW Austin, you elected an ideological tea bagger nut over someone with the experience and know-how to get things done. Expect the state to be all up in Austins face. So much for their local governance mantra. And if youre so much about equal representation, then do away with the state gerrymandering and have an independent commission decide. Yeah, thats not going to happen.
