Republicans really believe that the “dignity” or “majesty” of the high office of the Presidency are so sacrosanct that the holder of the office demeans it by appearing on a TV comedy show to encourage young Americans to obtain health insurance? Can You Explain please??? (1) Joe “You Lie” Wilson’s appalling paroxysm of disrespect during a State of the Union speech? (2) Then-Representative and Father of the Year award winner, Joe Walsh’s, video in which he expressly called the leader of the free world a “liar?” (3) The multiple comparisons of this president to Hitler? (4) The proliferation of signs depicting this president with a Hitler mustache or as a witch doctor with a bone in his nose? (5) The photo shopped picture depicting the President as the youngest member of a family of chimpanzees that was distributed by a member of the Orange County, California, Republican Central Committee ? (6) The rampant right wing criticism of this President for not being as strong as Vladimir Putin while we’re embroiled in a situation rife with potential for war against Putin’s Russia? (7) Referring to the First Lady as “Mooch-elle?” (8) The multiple accusations that our Chief Executive is primarily motivated by the anti imperialism views of his late father? (9) The nonstop allegations of illegitimacy and “otherness” accompanied by demands to see his birth certificate, his long form birth certificate, and his college report card? Thats been proven, over and over. (10) Comments by legislators such as Rep. Kerry Bentivolio’s (R-MI) that he “couldnt stand” being twelve feet away from His President, “but because he is President, I have to respect the office. Thats my job, as a Congressman, I respect the office?” (Another Class Act Republican.) (Whew, that’s a relief. For a moment, I was afraid that Rep. Aglia Olio was going to say something derogatory about our President) and if YOU reside in the United States?? He is Indeed Your LEADER. (11) The patent disrespect for the Presidency displayed by Eric Cantor when he walked out of the White House during a meeting with this President? (12) The jaw dropping disrespect for this President that was demonstrated when O. J. Boner had the unmitigated, orange-tinged gall to TWICE refuse to accept this President’s phone calls in one day? Let’s have a COMPLETE discussion about who is Responsible for any diminution of respect that has been inflicted upon the Office of President of the United States during the last five years.
