Request B#56 October 7th, 2014 I dont usually ask for something like this. This one is going to be an exception. Remember my post about a homeless lady living in her truck? SInce I last posted… we have had her set up at the park in a tent. We have been helping her with gas and other necessities. Unlike some, she has done everything we asked her to do. She went to all the places we recommended her to go to… to get help. Basically she has done all the footwork… while we directed her. THE GOOD NEWS!!! TODAY she was hired at CARGIL. She starts orientation on Thursday. I have spent a lot of time with her and just love her! She is really trying to get on her feet. Im so happy for her. Being the park is getting ready to close… and being that it will be a couple weeks before she gets her first paycheck… my request is this: WOULD ANYONE HAVE A ROOM SHE COULD WHERE SHE COULD SLEEP AT NIGHT, SHOWER AND EAT…until she gets her apartment? She will be gone most of the day, being she goes to school at INDIAN HILLS and is getting her GED. Plus I believe she will be working second shift. She spends a lot of time at the library studying and is very focused. She is pleasant to be around and is very clean. She has transportation and is very reliable. She also is looking for an apartment of her own… but has to wait till she starts getting paid. I believe one of the agencies here is going to help her with a downpayment. If I had an extra room, I would let her stay with me… but I dont. She is on her way up… and she is definitely going to make it. I just dont want her to have to sleep in a tent at the park anymore. I have all the confidence in the world… with this lady. She is around 50 and extremely nice. Like I said…. I usually dont ask for others to take someone in…. but I dont have any qualms about this lady. She has proven herself to me… time and time again…. since I have met her. If you can help… let me know.
