Requests are coming almost daily for prayers for Christians being murdered by terrorists. While total accuracy is hard to verify, there are enough credible reports to lend credence to the slaughter. Here is one of the latest, from Gary Bauer: Credible reports from missionaries and others on the ground in Northern Iraq are bringing heartbreaking news of terrible atrocities. Christian children who refused to denounce Jesus were reportedly murdered in front of their horrified parents by the jihadist thugs of ISIS. News of this reprehensible evil has reached my friends Pastor John and Diana Hagee at Christians United for Israel. Similar reports have come to me from various religious liberty groups. Even with the fog of war that often makes information hard to confirm, we know enough about the Islamic State and the dozens of other radical Islamic groups gaining strength throughout the Middle East to find these reports credible -- and sickening. Please join us right now in praying for all those in the path of this murderous Islamist ideology. Pray for those Christian families who are being tested in ways we can barely imagine and staying true to the Lamb of God. May their faith and courage inspire all of us, including church leaders, to find our voices on the gathering evil that threatens our civilization. Let us join in unceasing prayer.
