Requirement of MATLAB Modeling Specialist for one of India’s largest and most diversified business conglomerate spread across multiple countries. Job Description: The Matlab Specialist will be heading the team. Experience in Matlab/Simulink compulsory for over 10 years, 12 plus is ideal situation. Technically must be very sound in Matlab with desirable experience in Automotive domain, candidates with industrial exposure in consumer electronics, heavy electrical products, wind turbine will also do but major experience must be in the Automotive sector. Must have had international Exposure for 2-3 years (On-site experience) Must know Autocode generation. Good communication skills is a must as he will be the face of the Company being the Project Head. Age ( 25-40) years is desirable. A. Broad Areas covered by the job Areas of work: • Mathematical modeling of electronic control system under MATLAB / Simulink environment • Model coverage, MIL (Model in loop testing) • Rapid prototyping • Auto code generation using RTW / Target link • Model based development • Vehicle level Plant model development • Electro-mechanical, Pneumatic model development experience Understanding the Requirements: • Understand the Modeling requirement from customer, developing the technical strategy to execute the project per customer’s requirement. Planning: • Understand the project or program requirement and break it down as per work breakdown structure (WBS) for onsite/near-site execution and offshore execution, as per skill sets and competency available at respective locations. • Plan resources at onsite/near-site locations through discussion with engagement manager and at offshore through discussion with offshore delivery manager. • Agree to time-line in discussion with customer and prioritize individual tasks to meet those time lines. Execution: • Execute hands-on Modeling & Simulation tasks in MATLAB Environment • Interface with customer programs departments to gather requirements and inputs for modeling tasks. • Participate in review of completed tasks and results with customer functional departments and programs • Develop competencies at offshore location by continual mentoring of offshore team for near-term, mid-term, and long-term Modeling & Model based development requirements for various control system applications / systems through continued interactions with offshore team. Quality: • Responsible for delivering project executed at onsite/near-site with high quality deliverables and within timelines as agreed with customer. • Responsible for conducting weekly meetings with the customer and offshore delivery manager • To provide regular updates. • Perform detailed root cause analysis on internal and external defects and take appropriate actions to eliminate the occurrence of defects Innovation: • Provide out-of-box lateral thinking in terms of new processes, efficient Modeling techniques, to reduce time-lines for Model based development projects. • Investigate and/or develop new mathematical based model to enhance accuracy of models and their simulation results B. Tools Expertise: • MATLAB • Simulink • Stateflow • Real Time Workshop (RTW) • Targetlink • Familiarity with various MATLAB toolboxes such as Signal processing, Sim Power systems, statistical etc. C. Qualification: • BE / B Tech / ME / M Tech degree from a reputed university or institute in the field of Electronics / Communication engineering or Instrumentation engineering • Minimum 12+ years of post-graduation / post-graduation experience in automobile / off-highway or similar modelling experience in similar Engineering service companies • Expertise in Mathworks tool chain and Modelling, Model based development demonstrated work-experience and publications in international journals and conferences
