Rescue and salvage operations ran for the second day braving strong currents and matching waves after a passenger ferry named pinak - 6 sank with over 300 people on board in the Padma River near Munshiganjs Louhajang Upazila on Monday. The double-decker medium-sized launch had the capacity to ferry 120-150 passengers but it was carrying around 350 people at the time of the accident. Two dead bodies have been found so far and many more are still missing. We sincerely pray and hope for the rescue operations to have the best possible outcome.
