Rescue friends; Ive said this numerous times over: BE PROFESSIONAL. Its not always easy as we deal with a TON of ignorance but you have to conduct yourself as you would if it were your paid job and not just a volunteer position. Its important to be completely honest about personalities and not just throwing a dog into a home just to say it got adopted. And for the love of God, VETTING. Please work with a vet and do what they say. Stop diagnosing and medicating. When one person has a negative experience it turns them away from adopting and anyone else they speak with about. Dont think so? Think again. Heres proof. My goal at the end of the day is to stick to my morals and everyone around me to be clear on what they are. Its easy to lose them in rescue.
