Rescue people ! There is a Patterdale Terrier currently with RSPCA. He was being fostered by a friend of mine for them. He had no boundaries, various guarding issues over food and toys etc. After months, he was adopted. He reverted back to type, and started growling at people and going to bite them. The adoptive family didnt follow any of the rules (Be firm with him, dont let him on sofa etc) and as a result, he is back where he started. They gave him back and he is now in kennels. My friend, the Foster, cant take him back for health reasons. She is worried he will be PTS by the RSPCA (As we know they do) and I wondered if any rescues out there could offer to take him on and work with him? He DOES respond to you if you know how to handle him, and I saw him really improve when he was given boundaries, so he isnt an impossible dog. He is based in Durham :) .
