Rescued from Death I met a man recently. Among some things he left in my posession, was a yellow legal pad, a Bible, and a blanket he had used to shelter himself in the cold. I looked through the legal pad dating back a month. There were pages of plans to get back on his feet. I counted over 25 attempts at getting a job, two house plans, and some recipes. The last few pages listed dead end after dead end. On one page, at the top, was written, Thankful for. It had been traced several times as he pondered the thought...The Man upstairs. My Family. My truck was his resolve. But on the final page, his final sentence read, Calling hot line need help very very depression. Underlined many times was the word, Suicidal. He told that he bought a pack of cigarettes and a bottle of pipe drain cleaner. He smoked all but three cigarets and before he drank the drain cleaner, he decided to call a place to get help. Today he is getting that help. He has food, clothing, and shelter. He has godly support around him. He is trying another time. Have hope. What you think is the end of your rope, can be the life line out of your pit. When he wrote, The Man Upstairs, he had no idea he was downstairs with him all the while. With tears.... Thank You Lord...ł
