Research Fellow - Institute of Marine Science Job ID: 16136 Campus: Auckland City Campus Full/Part Time: Full-Time Permanent/Fixed Term: Fixed Term The University of Auckland seeks to appoint a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Marine Science in the Faculty of Science, University of Auckland in: Ecosystem function and the delivery of ecosystem services in coastal marine soft-sediment habitats. Associated with the development of the new Institute of Marine Science we are recruiting a post-doctoral Research Fellow to research ecological processes in intertidal or shallow subtidal marine sediments and linking knowledge of ecosystem function to the delivery and value of ecosystem services. Applicants should have strong and well documented experience in soft-sediment ecology, biogeochemistry or the analysis of community data. We seek someone who will develop a successful research project that has potential for further development and extramural funding. Successful applicants are likely to work in a trans disciplinary manner and foster collaboration within the Institute. This is a full-time Research Fellow position for a fixed-term of three years funded by the Faculty of Science to support the Director of the Institute of Marine Science, Professor Simon Thrush.
