Research is consistent and scientific in that Tamil language and culture existed long before Sanskrit evolved. Ever since Ariyan invasion around 1500, b.c., they tried to disfigure Tamil and defeat it which was part of the invasion. Part of that invasion was also to deny the existence of Indus Valley civilization, a Dravidian civilization. Ariyan forces defused successfully that great civilization but could not destroy Tamil. Ariyanization still continues. Part of their effort is to force Tamil people to use words of a dead language and force school children to repeat it like the current instance where the word Asiriar Thinam would be replaced by guru ulsava. Tamils, your language will not be destroyed without your permission. Some Tamils have already given permission. Shame on them. The only ancient language that is still in use is Tamil. Its a beautiful language.
