Resembling a Norwegian fjord, Lake Willoughby in the northeast kingdom of Vermont is listed as a National Natural Landmark. It is the deepest lake contained entirely in Vermont and is home to over 100 bird species and a wide variety of fish including Atlantic landlocked salmon. This photo was taken on Saturday, on my belly with winds howling and temps that never climbed above the 20’s. Invigorating! A must visit anytime you are in Northern Vermont.
