Residents and families can meet local police at two community fun days being held over the next couple of weeks. Officers from the Sinfin and Osmaston Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team will attend the event which has been organised by local community groups. The first event takes place at Osmaston Park on Saturday, August 3 between 12 – 4pm. The second event takes place a week later at Sinfin Moor Park on Saturday, August 10 also between 12 – 4pm. Both events will offer people the chance to enjoy activities such as a climbing wall, pony rides, go-karting, and bouncy castles. Local officers, Derby Youth Service, JJBBA Karate and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue will also be amongst those attending. PCSO Sean Pett of the Sinfin and Osmaston Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Members of our team will be at the family fun day as it is gives us the chance to meet local residents and also offer advice and information on staying safe. “It is also a good opportunity to bring people together and we look forward to seeing our community on the day.” The events has been organised by Sinfin Family Action Network, Dedicated Active Dads, Sinfin Community Centre, Sinfin Community Exchange, OSCAR, Derby Homes and Derby City Council.
