Residents voice opinions on St. Mary’s Villa plan About 60 Upper Dublin and Ambler residents attended a Jan. 16 meeting with The Mattison Estate, a group proposing to develop the grounds of The Villa. The development team proposes to construct four different types of housing, totaling 378 units, on the 45-acre site at Bethlehem Pike and Linenwold Terrace. Traffic and density were the main objections voiced by the residents. Peter Monaghan, of the Endeavor Property Group – part of the development team, said some changes had been made in response to comments from the early December meetings. Among those are making the lake larger, turning some homes so no backyards face Villa Drive, no curb cuts on Lindenwold, preservation of most of the front stone wall and scaling down the height of the apartment buildings.
