Respect is given to anyone who deserves it! Rich or poor, young or old, educated or not, literate or illiterate, and chief down to the utility, no matter who and what you are, respect is never defined by physical and material qualifications, but by manners and values. You have to respect your children just as you want to be respected by them, you have to respect your students if you want them to respect you as their teachers, and you have to respect your employees if you want to get their truest and sincerest respect as their superior! Above all, you have to RESPECT YOURSELF if you want to be respected by others. :)
