Respected coordinator/members of CGPC School of Social Work TISS, MUMBAI We the students of second year social work are very concerned about our placements. We have entrusted you with the responsibility of contacting the different organizations and very earnestly want to know how far you have progressed with your activities. The interests of the larger student body rests on the responsibility and zeal with which you perform your duties as a member of the placement committee. The students come from different backgrounds and even the slightest of your decisions may have a major impact on their careers and their lives and they can’t afford to take any risk whatsoever at this fragile stage of their lives. The CGPC members should maintain the highest levels of transparency so that the students are assured of the standards and protocols being adhered to, so that they can prepare for their GDs and interviews without any apprehension. An urgent GBM should be convened so that the CGPC members can inform us on the following: • The current status of the placement week • The number of organizations contacted so far • The number of organizations which have responded • The number of organizations whose coming to campus has been confirmed • Number of positions offered, Job description and Cost to Company (CTC) for the organizations which have confirmed • Tentative schedule of the confirmed organizations coming in the placement week
