Respite care is the provision of short-term accommodation in a - TopicsExpress

Respite care is the provision of short-term accommodation in a facility outside the home in which a loved one may be placed. This provides temporary relief to those who are caring for family members, who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside the home. This is what my Moms hospice people came up with tonight when I called and told them Im falling apart from no rest,my own illnesses, Inflamed bowel syndrome, chronic pain, and sleep deprivation. Apparently I still want to stay sober more than I want to drink or use, because I am still sober. But to be honest, if I thought I could drink safely, I would. Prayers please! Everybody coming to see mom, I have to buzz them in. Everyone dealing with her health care calls me, she cant hear. Every time Mom get confused with her med, the aids call me. Ever time Mom has to go potty when no one is here, she calls me, she cant get up or walk on her own. Last night was a potty call at 1, 2, and 4:30 am. And all this is every day, all day, all night. I am not equipped to give this level of care. Prayers please.
