Respondents in the Suffock University poll were asked the following question: Do you agree or disagree that government efforts to enforce marijuana laws cost more than they are worth? The response was decisive: •67% said Yes, •17% said No, with •17% undecided. Even Thomas Jefferson said, “Some of my finest hours have been spent on my back veranda, smoking hemp and observing as far as my eye can see.” And Conservative William F. Buckley said, “Even if one takes every reefer madness allegation of the prohibitionists at face value, marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could.”
