Responding to the challenge issued by Taiwans newly appointed Minister of Economic Affairs Woody Duh yesterday, EVA Air Chairman KW Chang accepted the #IceBucketChallenge. This morning, Chang staged an aerial wet-body event on the 12th floor terrace of EVAs second training center and doused himself from head-to-toe with ice water. Watch it here: youtu.be/5l1NFELR9Fg Dripping wet, Chang passed the challenge on to three friends, inviting them to repeat the feat for the benefit of the charity. Chang urged EVA Airs popular advocate Takeshi Kaneshiro, President and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Ray Conner, and CAA Director General Jean Shen to get their buckets of ice water ready and help raise awareness about ALS, a paralyzing condition that is also known as Lou Gehrigs Disease. Chang made a personal donation of US$10,000 and appealed to the public to support the campaign to help fight the rare disease. Mr. Kaneshiro, we look forward to seeing you all wet!
