Rest assured, the electricity at the Independence Stadium will NOT - TopicsExpress

Rest assured, the electricity at the Independence Stadium will NOT fail while the Katutura Derby between the 4-Times Champions and its rival for the Championship, African Stars, is in progress. African Stars always played second fiddle to the 4-Times Champions; for example, BA is on top of the MTC/NPL Premiership Log Standing. We are not counting goals, we count points. The 4-Times Champions, BA are the undisputed Champions of the inaugural Standard Bank Cup, and BA claimed this Cup as true champions normally do. We have lifted the MTC/NPL Premiership 4 Times compared to the 3 Times of African Stars or any club for that matter in the MTC/NPL Premiership. Saturday will be the second clash of these two Katutura giants for this year; and African Stars surely have a score to settle with the 4-Times Champions. As I always say, which I will continue saying; Black Africa set the standard of Namibian Football. Throughout the past 4 Football Seasons which BA Championed, any NPL Club playing the Champions go full-out of their way to beat BA, even new entrants to the MTC/NPL Premiership, i.e., UNAM tried their luck and there is absolutely nothing wrong with these noble attempts; and mark my works Julinho, Touch & Go, Benfica have done likewise, but to no avail. While doing this, these clubs and other more senior NPL Clubs get carried away when they lead the Champions; and what I found in my unofficial studies of NPL Clubs are that they forget they play the Champions and the 200% focus, mental strength, perseverance and endurance are vital signs which BA recall when in trouble. A classic example was the Katutura Derby between BA vs UNAM and BA vs FNB Orlando Pirates a few weeks ago, when the latter was leading 2 -1 until the last 10 minutes of the game. The Lively Lions were forceful to hunt down their prey and the killer goal landed in the back of the Pirates and UNAM nets dashing their aspirations of humiliating the 4-Times Champions. African Stars will open all cylinders on Saturday afternoon and so will Tura Magic the following day. Rest assured, if you score, dont be complacent, maintain the same vuma, otherwise your early goals will back-fire which will leave you with eggs in your faces by the 90th minute of the game. Just to qualify my finding that the 4-Times Champions set the Football Standards in Namibia. It is simple, all NPL Clubs play their best football when they are playing the 4-Times Champions. Touch & Go, Benfica, Julinho have all proved this and BA beat them with 2 - 1 score margins while our peers like African Stars scored 3 to 4 goals against these clubs. This also explains why African Stars have more goals than the 4-Times Champions. And we, in Black Africa, are proud for the high standards we have set in Namibian Football; disappointing however, is the fact that these standards are applied inconsistently and selectively by our fellow NPL Clubs when they play against the 4-Times Champions, and this is sad. So, if all 15 NPL Clubs can play the same kind of football they play against the 4-Times Champions, Namibian Football and the Brave Warriors will go a long way in qualifying for the African Nations Cup every second year. Alternatively, call up BA as the team and use this as the basis for the Brave Warriors; and make one, two, three changes to get the winning formula. You will see the results. These are my views, which I am entitled to.
