Restart, day 14: I had a nice day at home, enjoying the company of my friends and neighbors. Its been two weeks now since my restart. One thing I used to tell clients when I trained at Lifestyle Family Fitness was that if you can make it through the first three or four weeks, you had a 75% chance of making it the first three or four months. After that, your chances of success fell off sharply. Your chances of making it more than six months are less than 2 in 10. Your chances of making it a year are less than 1 in 10. That theory still holds. Its a tough game. I managed to get some sun today before it rained, and then I got in a heavy back and biceps routine (about as heavy as I am going to get here at the house, any way). This consisted of: 10 minutes worth of cardio on the elliptical trainer, followed by 10 sets of 10 on the seated row. This was then followed by: 3 X 10 concentration curls 3 X 10 bent over dumb bell rows 3 X 10 standing curls with the EZ bar 3 X 10 rear delts/back flys 3 X 10 rotating dumb bell curls 3 X 10 back extensions on the rack 3 X 10 upright rows with the EZ bar, then finishing with 3 sets of lower abs. We then all feasted on beef ribs. Tomorrow, its back to the beach and then chest and triceps. Tomorrow..............................................
