Restaurant owners Chew long and hard on this : : [My two bites worth tonight] : We time & time again read about the good, the bad and the plain old nasty, (which seem to be popping up quite frequently ) and the latest one that caused me to splutter and spittle (the nice word, please note ;) was Neos in Durban North. Almost hard to believe,reading all the comments methinks.... however, question: to the Restaurant OWNERS or Franchise Do owners ever read these reviews and remarks ? If not I strongly encourage them to do so and DO SOMETHING, dammit! Perhaps too they can read I WAS YOUR CUSTOMER by Mr Peter Cheales (Hello Peter,) for those who dont know who Peter Cheales is. ...........and I quote from the back cover of his book: I was your customer,I never complain, or grumble at the poor service I get. Ill stand at the window of the cashier whilst she chats with the typist about last nights date,I dont scowl when kept waiting, and if the salesperson eventually wanders over to me to see what I want is impatient or discourteous,I dont complain I am very tolerant,When I ask a simple question and get a curt answer, do i call the manager? No, I just tolerate the situation. I like to be nice to people, ~ well, thats just the way I am.I never moan, I never fuss,I never critisise, Id hate to make a scene as Ive seen others do, .I think thats just AWFUL!. No, Im a NICE CUSTOMER But Ill tell you something else too. Im the customer who doesnt come back. Thats why I can sit back and laugh When I see you spending all that money on advertising to get me back , when you could have kept me in the first place, with a Smile, , a few kind words and a little service. ~ Well said Peter Cheales!
