Resting our bodies helps us learn to take care of ourselves. Sometimes we might think of our bodies as batteries. We run on its energy until it wears down and then we stop and have to replenish that energy. This happens when we don’t regularly check in with ourselves. Learning to slow down and take life at a much easier pace, however, lets us maintain and balance our energy. When we remember to rest and treat ourselves well, our bodies respond in kind by giving us the energy we need throughout the day. By taking care of yourself today, you will increase your vitality and overall sense of well-being. So today I am going to spend time with Mike Lewine and then go to the gym and then sit in my backyard and watch the amazing birds.
