Restore the joy of Salvation Read Psalm 51:12 My first - TopicsExpress

Restore the joy of Salvation Read Psalm 51:12 My first thoughts from my assignment were this song, so I wrote it down before looking at the actual text. I started in verse 10 & what it means to me is this: Restore, to fix up, to make new, regenerate, revive again the joy, the happiness, delight, success, good fortune of being saved, being delivered from sin, delivered from sickness or death. Uphold, support or defend, to lift up/support against Satan/evil, me by Your generous, freely giving, abundantly providing/more than the amount that is needed Spirit, a force, a life energy, a supernatural being or essence in me! I like the TV show, American Restoration! It’s a show about restoring old antiques from yesteryear to a brand new look. Imagine being made new again, removing all the rust, dents, scratches, scars, imperfections & being like new again, that off the showroom floor new! Well guess what, God does that for us! We are told in Romans 12:2 to not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Is puts it this way 40:31-But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be wary, They shall walk and not faint. Create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence oh Lord, and take not your Holy Spirit from me, restore unto me the joy of my Salvation, and renew a right spirit within me. --Kendra Tipton, Kannapolis church of Christ
