Restored and Reconciled Romans 5:11 Jesus came as both Savior and King. His mission was twofold. First, as the “second Adam” He came to rescue mankind and through His death to restore our relationship with the living God. Second, as resurrected Lord He has risen to begin the reinstatement of mankind to His intended estate as a “ruler-in-life” under God (Rom. 5:12). Jesus summoned people to repentance and forgiveness, while He also showed them evidence of the transforming power of the Kingdom.
