Result! £1.80 for a bottle of coke from a train station vending machine is the sort of exchange that might on any other day send me spiralling into a nuclear rant. The Transformer-like over the top robotic arm that fetches the selected bottle, pulls it from the shelf and ferries it to the little exchange zone might has provoked some fevered observation from me. But not today. Even the 50 pence worth of 10 pence coins that fell through its innards apparently unacceptable to this vend-a-tron hadnt phased me. Nothing bothers me at all and the price of a bottle of coke at £1.80 is perfectly acceptable when the machine vends bottle and £2.60 in change. There you go, Eddie, the machine is saying. Get yourself a spot of breakfast on me this morning. It doesnt even bother me that the bottles label calls me Alison. For this sort of exchange Ill be any woman that machine wants me to be.
