Results: Green Bay Packers 38 Chicago Bears 17 Aaron Rodgers - 22/28, 302yds, 4TDs Eddie Lacy - 17 Rushes, 48yds, TD Randall Cobb - 7 Rec, 113yds, 2TDs Aaron Rodgers had 5 letters for Packers fans R-E-L-A-X and I think that everyone should have listened to him because he went off against the Bears. Rodgers actually threw 5 TDs however one was negated that one and it would have probably been the play of the year it was that good. We saw the bad Jay Cutler this week as he threw 2 interceptions and did not manage the game very well at all including the time at the end of the first half. The Bears defence was not their against the pass and as I mentioned before in the stats gave up 302 yards passing. Jay Cutler finished the day 22/34, 256yds, 2INTs and just struggled in the second half. Baltimore Ravens 38 Carolina Panthers 10 Joe Flacco - 22/31, 327yds, 3TDs Justin Forsett - 14 Rushes, 66yds, TD Steve Smith - 7 Rec, 139yds, 2TDs Steve Smith Sr. tortured his old team catching 2 of Joe Flaccos 3 touchdowns on the day and probably made the Panthers question as to whether they made a mistake releasing the trusty wide receiver. Torrey Smith also had a very good game catching a the other one of Joe Flaccos TD passes. This is the second week in a row that the Panthers have given up more than 30 points which was a recurring theme in the NFC South this week. Carolinas offence did be perform and Cam Newton is part of the reason because he is not 100%. Cam finished 14/25, 197yds, TD. He didnt finish the game and Derek Anderson finished the game for the Panthers at QB. Houston Texans 23 Buffalo Bills 17 Ryan Fitzpatrick - 25/37, 268yds, TD, 2INTs Ryan Fitzpatrick - 6 Rushes, 14yds Andre Johnson - 6 Rec, 71yds Is there anything JJ Watt cant do? The answer to that question is probably not, he returned a pick 82 yards for a touchdown and leads the team in touchdowns. The Texans look like they can over come anything and move to 3-1 on the season and I think they have a legitimate shot at making the playoffs if they can get by the Indianapolis Colts later in the year. The Bills have given up on EJ Manuel after this weeks start and will go with veteran QB Kyle Orton next week against the Lions in Detroit as their schedule gets even more difficult, Manuel struggled against the Texans and was 21/44, 225yds, 2TDs, 2INTs and is one of the league leaders in turnovers. The Texans travel to Dallas next week and you can see that game on 7Mate. Indianapolis Colts 41 Tennessee Titans 17 Andrew Luck - 29/41, 393yds, 4TDs, INT Trent Richardson - 20 Rushes, 47yds, TD Reggie Wayne - 7 Rec, 119yds, TD I knew there was nothing to worry about in Indianapolis, Andrew Luck has everything under control just like Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. Luck has shown each of his first 3 seasons in the league that he gets better as the season goes along and I have to believe that the Colts are a Super Bowl contender. Reggie Wayne is back and he looks in prime form like always and it showed in his play on Sunday, this guy along with Steve Smith from the Ravens just dont age and play better and better every year, they are true franchise players. The Titans went with the veteran backup Charlie Whitehurst at QB to replace Jake Locker and that obviously didnt work out as he threw 12/23, 177yds, TD, INT. The Titans go to 1-3 on the season and the Colts improve to 2-2. Detroit Lions 24 New York Jets 17 Matthew Stafford - 24/34, 293yds, 2TDs Reggie Bush - 12 Rushes, 46yds Golden Tate - 8 Rec, 116yds Another week another loss for the New York Jets in another game they shouldve won, but again turnovers killed the Jets. Geno Smith threw an interception and lost a fumble and the we want Vick chants have started but Jets fans were disappointed because they didnt get what they wanted. Geno made some poor decisions in the game but not all of the blame can go on him. The defence was terrible and uncharacteristic of a Rex Ryan defence in this game, blowing coverages and giving up huge yardage. I think that the Jets made a big mistake during the offseason when they released Antonio Cromartie because their 1st round pick Dee Milliner has not played a full game this season. The Lions look like the strongest team in the NFC North after they beat the Packers last week as well. Defensively they have a great front 7 and in the secondary they are pretty good too, but we all know that their strength is on offence. Miami Dolphins 38 Oakland Raiders 14 Ryan Tannehill - 23/31, 278yds, 2TDs, INT Lamar Miller - 12 Rushes, 64yds, 2TDs Brian Hartline - 6 Rec, 74yds The Dolphins were playing ball in London, the question was would Ryan Tannehill be the starting QB this week and the answer was yes and he proved again why he should be. There wasnt really anything I was impressed by from the Raiders except James Jones who is emerging as a true number one receiver in the NFL. He took the most amazing one handed diving grab on the sideline from Derek Carr. The Dolphins defence played very well and so did their offensive line which gave up no sacks on the day which is a good sign in Miami after they led the league in sacks given up last year. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27 Pittsburgh Steelers 24 Mike Glennon - 21/42, 302yds, 2TDs, INT Doug Martin - 14 Rushes, 40yds, TD Louis Murphy - 6 Rec, 99yds The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on the board with their first victory of the season. Lovie Smith can rest easy for the first time and go into the New Orleans Super Dome knowing that he has a win. The fact that they won does not go well for the starting QB Josh McCown who I dont think is a starting QB in the National Football League anyway after what I have seen from him thus far this season. Mike Glennon played a heck of a ball game and threw the final TD of the game to Vincent Jackson with under 10 seconds to go. This was a very good game to watch and if you have NFL Gamepass I would encourage everyone to watch this game because it was very good game. Ben Roethlisberger finished 29/40, 314yds, 3TDs and had a big game but the Steelers need help from their defence. They go on the road to take on the Jags whilst the Bucs take on the Saints in New Orleans. San Diego Chargers 33 Jacksonville Jaguars 14 Philip Rivers - 29/39, 377yds, 3TDs Branden Oliver - 9 Rushes, 23yds Keenan Allen - 10 Rec, 135yds Philip Rivers continues to play MVP calibre football and I think that he has a very good shot at the honour of he and the Chargers continue to play like this. Blake Bortles had his first NFL start and showed everybody why he was the 3rd overall pick in the draft but he also showed some rookie play as well throwing 2 Interceptions. He played a good game in the first half but he was not really to blame for the loss, the defence just did not play very well at all and have given up way to many yards and points so far this season. Again the Chargers defence makes them a contender with the addition of Brandon Flowers who has done some work over the last few weeks for them. The Chargers host the struggling New York Jets next week and the Jags host Big Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Minnesota Vikings 41 Atlanta Falcons 28 Teddy Bridgewater - 19/30, 317yds, 0TDs, 0INTs Jerick McKinnon - 18 Rushes, 135yds Jarius Wright - 8 Rec, 132yds Teddy Bridgewater has arrived in a big way throwing for over 300 yards and he ran for 27 yards and a TD as well. The Vikings got their running game going with Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata as they combined for 213 yards on the ground and 3TDs. The Falcons defence was not there and that was a common theme for each NFC South team this week as they all have up at least 24 points. Matt Ryan again struggled throwing 25/41, 298yds, 3TDs, 2INTs even though he had one of his favourite targets back in Roddy White who caught the 1st of Ryans 3TD passes in the game. The Falcons need to find a way to get their run game going because they have not looked like the Falcons of 2012 with Michael Turner as their Running back. Their leading rusher on the day was Antone Smith with 62 yards and a TD. Teddy Bridgewater left the game late with a ankle injury but initial reports are that it isnt serious and the MRI came back negative. San Francisco 49ers 26 Philadelphia 21 Colin Kaepernick - 17/30, 218yds, 2TDs, INT Frank Gore - 24 Rushes, 119yds Anquan Boldin - 5 Rec, 62yds The 49ers played like the 49ers this week and ran the football for 218 yards which is the 49ers identity along with defence. The defence forced 4 turnovers on the day and picked off Nick Foles twice. They shut down the high powered offence of the Eagles and held them without a TD. Darren Sproles has made New Orleans regret their decision to let Darren Sproles go in the offseason. Sproles returned a punt 82 yards for a TD and made Andy Lee the 49ers punter look silly. Colin Kaepernick had a good day aside from his pick 6 and threw for 2TDs. Nick Foles struggled all day and finished 21/43, 195 yards, 0TDs, 2INTs. LeSean McCoy was held to 17 yards by the 9ers defence and hasnt really been able to do anything so far this season. Dallas Cowboys 38 New Orleans 17 Tony Romo - 22/29, 262yds, 3TDs DeMarco Murray - 24 Rushes, 149yds, 2TDs Terrance Williams - 6 Rec, 77yds, 2TDs The Dallas Cowboys defence stepped up against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints and made the game a very long ugly affair. DeMarco Murray ran over, around and through the Saints defence which wasnt even there pretty much. Tony Romo had a great night as well like he did last week when they overcame a 21 point deficit. Drew Brees didnt look comfortable at all and it was shown through the interception he threw early on in the first quarter. The Cowboys were up 24-0 at halftime and it didnt look very good for the Saints at all. Khiry Robinson looked good for the Saints as well with 8 Rushes for 87 yards. Drew Brees finished 32/44, 340yds, 2TDs, INT. The Saints are in desperate need of a win as they are now 1-3 on the season. They face the Buccaneers who upset the Steelers next week in week 5. Kansas City Chiefs 41 New England Patriots 14 Alex Smith - 20/26, 248yds, 3TDs Knile Davis - 16 Rushes, 106yds Travis Kelce - 8 Rec, 93yds, TD The Patriots were man handled in this game and just didnt look good on offence or defence today. I have to say that the Patriots dominance could be closing because the last two weeks they have just looked sluggish and they do not have any talent on offence. The Patriots defence was pretty bad as well especialIy against the run giving up over 200 yards in the game. The offence had 96 total yards at halftime and it didnt really improve from there as they finished 290 total yards. Tom Brady didnt play the whole game and finished with stats of 14/23, 159yds, TD, 2INTs and his backup and maybe future QB of the Patriots Jimmy Garoppolo finished 6/7, 70yds, TD. The Pats have really only looked like themselves in week 2 in which they beat down the Minnesota Vikings. Stay Tuned for more news and updates.
