Results of Safety Checkpoint conducted 09/20/2014 Synopsis: On Friday, September 19 and into Saturday September 20, 2014, the Bluffton Police Department, assisted by the South Carolina Highway Patrol conducted a Safety Checkpoint along Bluffton Parkway. Since January of 2014, the Bluffton Police Department has issued Uniform Traffic Tickets and Written Warnings for 251 violations relating to Operators License, 144 violations involving a vehicle’s registration, and 73 violations for Insurance issues since January The checkpoint was intended to enforce all South Carolina laws, with emphasis on violations related to drivers license, vehicle registration, and insurance.
