Results of tonites mtg. The city renewed their health insurance contract and saved $52,000.00 dollars from last year. This money is kept in a separate fund. No motion was made to go into executive session. The mayor dejected said now the newspaper will now have more to write about on how the aldermen and mayor cant get along. I believe the last article in the paper didnt mention how they didnt get along, but how the mayor was thumbing his nose at the board. With no motion the mtg. adjourned. The mayor then got up and walked from the meeting room and left. He returned walking by the front sidewalk making statements with language that should no be repeated on this site. Also as Jim Hackstedt exited the building, the mayor began making statements that this is all Jims fault and that his day is coming. Why would our mayor make such a threat to a private citizen? Could it be that Mr Hackstedt is building a house and not buying materials from our mayor? No further details.
