Resuming discussions today regarding the film about my life....I have stressed that there will be certain points that need to be fulfilled. The following are some of these points and reasons for my requests: The telling of a specific event or story does not begin with the event itself, rather the telling of the story begins at a point in history which initiated a chain of events and circumstances and involved certain persons which lead to the event to be told. For example: the telling of the story of the United States begins long before the United States was a nation. In fact, the telling of the story of the United States begins even before British America was established and even before Britain was established. The story of the United States (and Britain) actually begins in Biblical times, as the US and UK are modern day sons of the tribe of Joseph, born to Joseph in Egypt. It is important to understand a persons ancestral/historical character in understanding a person, just as it is important to understand a nations historic character. Because I believe that a person is not only a product of his or her environment throughout life, but also a product of his or her personal character and family character, I would want the telling of my story to begin at some point in my family history. This would likely start at the roots of my ancestors pre-British American, pre-Britain and even pre-Joseph. I will want accurate and detailed representation of those persons, circumstances and events that pertain to the telling of my story. And I understand that presenting detailed accounts of my and my family history far back in time will create a film far longer in duration than any full length major motion picture of today. Therefore this film would be best presented as a television mini-series, though I expect that my story will also likely create a longer duration mini-series then we have viewed before. I expect nothing less than top quality production, acting, sets, costumes, etc. Each time period must be presented accurately for its time, for example: -a womans dress of the 1600s did not have zippers; stays were used. -British-Americans spoke with heavy English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh accents. Our various American accents evolved over time. The filming of the various time periods for this production can begin simultaneously so that post-production and airing can begin as soon as possible. This may require a number of Directors. Some pieces of my ancestral puzzle: -my fathers paternal side of the family (Sheridan) hails from Cork, Ireland. -my fathers maternal side of the family (Smith) is of German descent. -my mothers paternal side of the family (Williams) is of Welsh descent. -my mothers maternal side of the family has a name, (Basham) apparently common in India. -I have an ancestor who was an ensign patriot soldier in the American Revolutionary War. -I am related to Nixons, Hiltons and Pat Garrett, the Sheriff who shot and killed Billy the Kid.
