Rethink Iran: Highlighted Points from Iranian President, Dr. Rouhanis, UN General Assembly Speech (2014) Care of Press TV: - Iran is the land of peace. - Achieving comprehensive deal at this junction is vital for both sides. - Any delay in reaching nuclear agreement only hurts both sides. - Iran, 5+1 will hopefully reach agreement inside deadline. - Continuous sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program are oppressive. - Iran proposed the World Against Violence & Extremist (WAVE) initiative last year. - Iran has always been honest in negotiations. - The nuclear issue has just one solution, and thats [diplomatic] negotiation. - Iran is one of the most stable countries, but we all humans should remember that were travelling by the same ship. [Our stability is intertwined.] - If other countries really want to fight terrorism, they should help regional countries in their effort to do this. [i.e. stop sanctioning Iran based on lies.] - Iran had invited the world to civilized conversations before 9/11. [and was ignored.] - Sanctions are a [root cause] of hatred. - Western interventions caused the region to be a haven for terrorists. - Neighboring countries of Iran are threatened by extremism, terrorism. [This is nothing new and always borne by Imperialism/Colonialism or whatever else the era wants to call foreign meddling.] - The question is: are we standing united against extremism?
