Retro Synth Tour: From Vangelis to Jean-Michel Jarre to dozens of Synthesist, the Rolad series of synthesizers were a staple of any synthesizer arsenal. Heres a tour of the sounds of the Roland Jupiter 4 (circa1979). Youll instantly recognize that late 70s-early 80s sound. The Jupiter 4 was a 4 voice polyphonic keyboard. That meant you can play up to 4 notes at a time [chords !]. That was a ig deal back then. As technology and chips advanced, Jupiter 6 and Jupiter 8s appeared. Still a cool sounding box these days..
