Retrospectacular is a series of always packed out live shows organised over the past few years by ex-4or5 Magicians frontman Dan Ormsby, basically as an excuse to play songs from some of his favourite albums. The premise is simple - four times a year a group of musicians from London and Manchester get together to recreate some of the best albums of 15, 20, 25 and 30 years ago. This edition features the best music of 15 years past, 1999. In addition to full sets of songs from alternative classics 69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields, Hope Is Important by Idlewild, and Madonna by ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, we have a special guest set from Uncle Luc AKA Luke Barham, ex-frontman of the wonderful Stagecoach performing some of his own superb songs alongside those of Wilco, from their breakthrough record Summerteeth. This is all topped off by a live karaoke set where YOU are the singer. Whether you wish to don your Shania Twain catsuit and tell the world you feel like a woman, or break stuff while wearing your Fred Durst red cap and goatee (dont actually break anything please), there is a place for you on the stage. The main bar is open at [insert opening time here] for drinks and food and is free entry all night. The live music in the back room kicks off at 7pm and is £6 entry on the door.
