Returning to the Pillar of Prayer (The Blueprint Part 4) Genesis 35:14-15 KJV) And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.15 And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel. Matt 6:9-13 KJV) 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil” Jesus would not lead into to temptation we should take this verse in the light that He is our deliverance and our way of escape is provided though Him 1 Corinthians 10: 13 NKKV) No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. I remember when I was a child they would come on television with a test from the emergency broadcast system and word say “this is as test only a test if this was a real emergency you would have been instructed where to turn” these word were preceded by a loud buzzing sound which was sounded to get your attention. The word temptation in this passage means trial or test. One of the great things the Lord has told me that I think is so powerful was that my trail has an expiration date, but His promises have no expiration date they are eternal. Jeremiah 29:11 KJV)For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. The Lord has an expected end to your trail our expected end is one of peace and not of evil. Since the Lord has you and I own His mind we need to grasp that ion our prayer of blueprint we are just bringing ourselves into agreement with His thoughts of us. “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen” We started this blueprint of prayer with the recognition of that He was our Father and with honor do His name now we are concluding this manner of prayer with more praise and worship, and stating the fact the Kingdom is His, the power is His, and the glory is His forever. We should grasp the threefold cord of the strength of this prayer Ecclesiastes 4:12 KJV) And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. In the case of this prayer it shall never be broken because it’s forever. The first cord of the praise and worship in this prayer is “ thine is the kingdom” His kingdom is the kingdom of light, the other kingdom is one of darkness, and there is only two kingdoms to believe anything else is a masquerade all the counterfeit that the evil one portrays is still of the kingdom of darkness. Since it’s His kingdom it will not fail so when we pray thine is the kingdom we are in agreement with the victory that will without fail take place. 1 Timothy 1:17 KJV)Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. The second part of this cord is that the power belongs to Him and is not of us. So in this praise in prayer we are seeking the operation of His Power not our power. 2 Corinthians 4:7 KJV) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. Third part of this cord is that all the glory of the cord belongs to Him often men would self aggrandize in the things that only belong to bring Him glory this praise in prayer removes the big I from our prayer to the glorifying of that belongs to the Lord and the Lord alone. Revelation 19:1 KJV) And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: As we return to the foundational altar of Bethel the House of God we should being praying and praising at the Foundational Blueprint of Prayer. May you encounter the Lord and all He has for you in the House of God this weekend!! See you here next week with Joy in the Morning!! Pastor Mark Fox First Assembly of God Glen Rose, Texas
