Reunion Update Good Afternoon Everyone, As you can see by the photo we are having special reunion T-shirts made. One of our original members, Terry Brown, took this project on and the results are pretty darn good. The cost of the shirts are $14.50 each and they come in sizes from small to XL. In order to keep the process simple I will be the contact for orders and Terry will be the contact for picking them up and having them for folks when the get to Point Pleasant. By doing it this way we avoid a $10 shipping charge. We need to have all orders in by 1 Sept. We have two additional attendees coming as of 1 July: Terry Brown and Sue Hager. This puts us at 38 certain and several more possible. Still working out the final details of the Mikes Subs banquet. I dont foresee the cost per person exceeding $20 in any case. As soon as I get the fixed price for the subs I will let everyone know. The intent is to mix it up with the subs, i.e. No.1, No. 2, Roast Beef, etc. If the east coast Mikes operation is the same as the west coast then they make Party Packs with the subs already quartered and individually wrapped. I think I mentioned that I did this for my retirement party in 2012 and there was plenty of variety and they tasted just like we remembered. As we get into Sept. I will have a location for the Friday night informal get together and Sunday brunch for those who can make it. Getting back to the cost. I am probably estimating a little high for the cost of subs, chips, and drinks, plus the $100 rental fee for the VFW post. If there is any surplus in the end I will divide it up by the number of attendees and refund everyone. As soon as I have a solid number I will let you know.
