Reunions bring many memories flooding from the past with a chance to make a few more. While we cannot duplicate the exact arena; older bodies, grayer hair, and lined faces give way to the remember whens and stories of lives being lived. Questions may be asked now that we would not even think to have asked back then. That is what happened in an exchange between Michele Carlton and me. She related how she had family in 1911 who had settled around Saratoga. She described the area-and I was surprised to hear how her family was very close in location to the Kennaday homestead, in fact the two have been combined along with others and in modern days is solely owned . I asked the name of the family-and she replied Brenniman. I have heard that name for decades. The following day I brought some family pictures, with one picture having a Mrs. Brenniman-Michelle looked at it, That is my Great-Grandmother! Her family has few pictures of her-and Mrs Brenniman was a good friend of my Great Grandmother, Gertrude Bost Davidson Sowder. I am pleased to share this story and photo as a reminder that we are not done with each other yet! There is always, The rest of the story. Thank you organizers and workers!
