Rev. 20:2 My problem is that I enjoy “new” stuff: especially new shirts. It angers me when I buy a new shirt and after wearing it about five times admit to myself I don’t like it. Then every time I put it on I spend a moment kicking myself. Then I go buy another shirt. Its a bad cycle to be in. I also think that if I could just find a “new” way to be organized I could get organized. So, I see a file holder and think “that’s it. If I had that, then stuff would fall into place”. But when I get it it I find out stuff doesn’t ever fall: it sits. It sits where I put it, until I put it where it belongs and the the new holder is just another thing for me to ignore. “New” doesn’t change who I am. Only I can change who I am. Sure I could get a new Bible, but that won’t make me read it. I could sit in a new place on Sundays, but that won’t make me listen. I am the problem and until I can admit that change isn’t coming.
