Rev. Dr. Ronald J. Allen, a Professor of Preaching and Gospels and Letters at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, is in Claremont this week teaching a class on Revelation. (Course Description: Students will exegete the Book of Revelation with attention given to preaching, and the social context of the book, especially the Roman Empire and apocalyptic Judaism. Students will also give attention to critical exegetical methods and their interaction - historical, literary, imperial, and theological. Emphasis will focus on developing exegetical methods and perspectives for preaching and teaching.) DSF will also host a dinner for Dr. Allen this Thursday, 1/8, at 5:30PM.
